Our Story
1981
Our journey began in 1981, when owner Steven Scott assumed a senior sales role with the building giant James Hardie. Seeing the potential for maintenance-free plastic products, he was inspired to start his own business, specialising in PVC and plastic-based construction materials.
1999
In 1999, Steven visited North America and observed the widespread use of durable composite decking, from the snowy peaks of the Canadian Rockies to the sun-soaked plains of California and Mexico. He was impressed by the product’s quality and its ability to endure extreme weather conditions.
Steven then forged a partnership with Brite Decking Manufacturing, a leading Canadian producer of premium eco-friendly composite decking. Brite was also the pioneer in developing a concealed fastening system specifically for composite decking boards.
2009
In 2009, Brite Decking Holdings Australia acquired the patents and entire manufacturing process from Brite Decking Manufacturing. We took control of production, refining our decking boards to withstand Australia’s distinctive climate.
Since then, we have expanded our team and established offices and warehouses in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
2023
Recognising the growing demand for high-quality composite decking, Brite Decking made a strategic decision to expand its operations and successfully transitioned to a larger warehouse in Chipping Norton, NSW. This move enables us to better serve our increasing number of customers, including homeowners, builders, and businesses.
