In this residential landscaping project, a custom-designed letterbox structure was constructed using composite cladding as the exterior finish. Located in a quiet suburban neighbourhood, the homeowners aimed to enhance their front yard’s street appeal with a feature that combined functionality, aesthetics, and durability.
The resulting installation is a bold, modern addition to the landscape—featuring a timber-look slatted profile that blends effortlessly with natural surroundings while offering the benefits of weather resistance and minimal maintenance.
The client sought a natural wood appearance but without the hassle of regular staining or the risk of warping. Composite cladding was chosen for its premium finish, resistance to moisture, UV fading, and pests—all common issues with traditional timber in outdoor environments.
The vertical slat design was selected to create a clean, linear aesthetic that complements both modern and classic architectural styles. The cladding’s rich, honey-toned finish was paired with black powder-coated hardware and a stone-look slab top, resulting in a refined, upscale appearance.
