Located in the leafy suburb of Rangeville, QLD, this elegant two-story home underwent a sophisticated exterior enhancement that combined architectural precision with sustainable innovation. The homeowners aimed to elevate their property’s street presence and durability by integrating Brite Decking’s
Composite Cladding Country Teak colour as a focal material—blending natural aesthetics with low-maintenance performance.
The goal of the project was to refresh the home’s façade with a warm, natural finish while ensuring long-term performance in Queensland’s weather conditions. The owners envisioned a clean, modern look that would stand out in the streetscape but still harmonize with the property’s existing structure and tones. Equally important was the use of sustainable materials that offered durability without the upkeep associated with timber.
Country Teak vertical batten-style composite cladding was chosen as the primary feature for the home’s prominent entry structure. This cladding provided a crisp, linear finish that brought both elegance and structure to the façade. Engineered for UV and weather resistance, the cladding is ideal for the Queensland climate and maintains its appearance over time. Manufactured from a recycled wood-polymer blend, it also aligns with environmentally conscious building practices. The vertical batten profile introduced rhythmic shadow lines and architectural depth while resisting common issues like fading, warping, and insect damage.
